Remelisa Cullitan is a diverse media visual artist focused on expressing narratives of womanhood from her experiences. Cullitan is biracial and is from Spokane, Washington. She works in ceramics, fiber arts, mixed media sculptures, and paintings. She received a BFA in Studio Art and BA in Art History from Eastern Washington University in 2016. Cullitan’s first solo exhibition in June 2018, Working With, discussed art history and the importance of highlighting women artists. She received a mini-grant from smArt Ventures for her Working With series during the Artists of Color Expo and Symposium (ACES) in Seattle. She also has two public art pieces in Spokane. Cullitan has been a member of Saranac Art Projects, a contemporary artists’ co-op, since 2017.
