Dennis Madamba is an illustrator, zine maker, and comics publisher from the San Francisco Bay Area. His art is narrative, sequential, and often strange. He draws inspiration for his illustrations from a wide array of topics, from his Filipino heritage to foreignness and cultural detachment, to music and popular culture. He is interested in the ways folklore has functioned in colonial society, how it has been appropriated and passed on, and how illustration can be a way of documenting and reclaiming these stories. Most recently he co-produced a comic anthology called Campfire: Comics x Stories, featuring his work along with 12 other artists.

Dennis received a BA in Art from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a MFA from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design. His work has shown in California, Minnesota, and New York. He currently lives and works in Minneapolis with his partner and imaginary pets.
