Márton Koppány lives in Budapest, Hungary. He has published many books of visual poetry and text art since the early 80’s. E-books include: WavesHungarianLangArt, and TheAhaMomentall from Eratio, 2008, 2014, 2016. His work also has been anthologized in Anthology SpidertangleThe Last VispoA Global VisuageThe Dark Would and The New Concrete. He always enjoys collaborating, and his collaborative works include books and digital sequences with Jukka-Pekka Kervinen, Nico Vassilakis, Satu Kaikkonen, Andrew Topel, Mike Cannel, Michele Marinelli, Tamarin Norwood, Jim Leftwich and Anatol Knotek. His collaboration with Matt Manalo’s work partly relates to Matt’s interest in comics reflected in this interview with the artist.

Matt Manalo was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. He moved to the United States along with his family to pursue his education. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting with a minor in Art History at the University of Houston. He has always been drawn to making art since he was a child. He grew up being heavily influenced by comic books and cartoons. His intuitive art making process includes collaging, painting, and sculpture. His work explores his Filipino identity and the places he has lived.
