Lordy Rodriguez was born in Manila in 1976, raised in Texas and Louisiana, and is currently based in Benicia, California. He received his BFA from the School of Visual Arts in 1999 and his MFA from Stanford University in 2008. Reconfiguring maps into imaginary geographical compositions, Rodriguez's map series have been shown widely throughout the United States, including solo shows in New York City, throughout Texas, and the San Francisco Bay Area.  His drawings are part of collections throughout the country and have been published in several books, including the publication for the landmark exhibition At Home & Abroad: 20 Contemporary Filipino Artists (Asian Art Museum, 1998).
