Jeanne F. Jalandoni is a painter based in New York City. She began studying visual art at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School in 2011 and received her BFA in Studio Art at New York University with honors in 2015. Jalandoni’s colorful work traces her exploration of Filipino American identity, often through collaging flat and realistic images of nature, food, and the female body. She has participated in shows throughout NYC, and internationally in Berlin and Paris. Recent shows include The Art of Healing (curated by Gabriel de Guzman), organized by the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance in partnership with NY Presbyterian/Allen Hospital, and The Best of New York, organized by the Asian Youth Leadership Organization. Her work has been published in the zines Slant’d and Post[Blank].
